The diode laser works at combined wavelengths (755nm, 808nm, 1064nm). These wavelengths allow for deeper penetration into the skin, theoretically avoiding the melanin in the epidermis of the skin and therefore targeting the hair follicles directly.In theory, the longer wavelength helps prevent skin damage and pigmentation changes that can occur with shorter wavelength lasers. The diode laser is great for coarse, dark hair, making it a good choice for back or bikini area hair removal.
